Adventures with the Block

Adventures With The Block, provides weekend, school holiday and spring/summer/winter break recreational and social activities for special need individuals 13 and up. Adventures will include activities such as festivals, beach excursions, concerts, museums and city tours.

The Block of Greater Houston, LLC will give guidance/ skills to each individual with special needs.  The Block will teach emotional awareness, socialization, coping, communication and perspective taking skills to all of them, affording our clients a more independent lifestyle.

Parents and guardians have the opportunity to enroll in Priority Registration, which allows the caregiver and/or guardian to register their loved one for Adventures With The Block 2 weeks prior to member registration. Priority Registration is$55/month per individual and is available on the 1st of each month.

Steps for Enrollment

1. Schedule an appointment for an interview with The Block of Greater Houston, LLC Monday through Wednesday. Families are informed the week of the interview if they are accepted.  If your loved one is accepted into Adventures With The Block, an invoice for the $125 registration fee is emailed and upon payment, a member login will be given.

2. Payment of the $55 monthly Priority Fee is an option. The fee guarantee’s early registration for that month’s activities.Registration will close 1 month prior to departure.  

3.Login into the member link, to check out the Adventures with The Block.  Adventures are emailed 2 weeks prior to departure if you are a Priority Member.
